unable to update email address

I need to update my ebay account to show my new email address.

 

When I try to do this they system says that my new email address is already in use.

 

How can I fix this?

Have you got another account with that email address or is it a completely new email address? You can only use an email address for 1 account.

You may have inadvertently created another eBay account associated with that email address by signing in using a Google, Apple or Facebook account associated with that email address for the first time.

 

Use a different, new email address for your current eBay account.
