Is anyone else having the same problem? Or does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix it? Atm am having to log in in a different browser, where it works perfectly. Seems to just be an ebay/firefox problem. TIA

Try the good old cookies / cache / reboot "fix" maybe? I'm using Firefox without too many problems.

Thanks for replying, padi. I thought about that, but won't I loose all my passwords etc? (Sorry if that's a dim question).

Nope, so long as you don't check the "active logins" button.
Edit. That page is the one from the Firefox browser.
