Contacting a potential buyer

I noticed an automatic rejection to an offer made on an item I have for sale. I did not understand how setting this automatic rejection price worked and now it appears that I've lost the opportunity to make the sale. HOW can I message the potential buyer having only his eBay name? I have since removed the automatic rejection option.

They would have been told they have another couple of opportunities to put in another offer.

 

If they don't you could maybe message them through their eBay ID - but I would leave off doing that for a few days, or it might seem to the buyer to be spamming them. See if they put a counter-offer in first.
