What to do?

I recently made a purchase as a guest and subsequently when trying to do anything in relation to this purchase (as it still hasn't arrived) ebay forced me to register so that I could try and contact the seller and report the item as not being delivered yet.  So when I set up the account (using the same email address as I used as a guest) the item does not appear in my ebay summary or orders/purchases, etc.  So through the account that I created I do not have the item appearing and as such no way of contacting the seller.  If I try and view the order details through the email sent confirming the purchase I can still see it  but if I try and contact the seller or report the item as undelivered the ebay system just sends me through the process of creating a new account again.  Can someone please help me with resolving this as it would appear that ebay doesn't provide any support or assistance.

Naturally the item is not going to appear on a different account to which  you bought on

I won't go into the other part

There should be something here

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/returning-item/returni...

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/paying-items/buying-guest?id=4035&st=3&pos=2&query=Buying%20as%2...

eBay Help is at the top of every page

What was the estimated delivery date?

I wouldn't necessarily say that naturally it wouldn't appear as the primary key associated with the user database is based on email address.  So naturally a database would actually try and link all information based on the primary key.

Aside from this, your advise that I use the order confirmation email to access the order details and contact the seller - when I try this it redirects me to a page to create a new account.  So thank you for advising that I do exactly what I had already described.

Please take the time to read and understand the content before providing a response.

is the seller in Australia?

are you able to click on any of the seller's items, then ask a question?

Simple answer - contact the seller through the account providing the details of the purchase made as the guest.  Thanks.

I did

Both

And I did not at any point advise that you use the order confirmation email to access the order details and contact the seller

I provided links that may have contained something helpful

But don't worry, I know better than to reply to any further questions you have from now on

For starters, you might want to get off your high horse "Naturally blah blah blah" - you come off just a tad condescending....

Secondly, if all you are going to do is put me onto the ebay help links when I have clearly stated ebay doesn't provide any support or assistance then yeah please don't waste either your or my time...

OK then. LOL
