Oh and re the paypal seller protection - launching the dispute will buy
you some time and the seller will ideally believe your claim and do the
right thing by investigating. Good luck, your issue shows a blinding
fault in the whole "buyer protection"...
You have to protect yourself here. You should launch a paypal dispute
immediately. The seller isn't going to necessarily bother investigating
