Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry for disappearing .I hope that I can remember what everyone has said.
Deb, retiring in Italy sounds good.I hope that they will be careful to have everything double checked when they buy over there.Did you watch any of that show about buying properties abroad ?
Icy, that's kind of how I would be I think.I only remember bits and pieces .I can count to 20 in French, name some fruits and some other foods, say hello and goodbye and ask someone their name but apart from that I wouldn't be any good and wouldn't cope with a conversation or be able to write or read very much written in French.
Karen, the whole year has been very low in regards to rainfall. We have dams which are getting very low. They could be made bigger though the rain needs to fall to fill them (they overfowed during the floods as did our paddocks btw) and keep coming.Still need the water for the house though .We only have tank water.
Not sure what is involved with the council as far as enlarging dams..I'm recalling that Bud Tingwel (sp?) whom a former workmate of mine knew well chose not to 'make a dam'' but 'rather build a hill '.:^OI can safely say that as it was published locally as well.
Hi Joono, Normally every few months sometimes maybe The worst part is how tinder dry the bush is atm.I was waiting at the check out at the supermarket and someone needed someone checked..I noticed the bloke in front was buying heaps of 2kgs bags of sugar.I asked him if he was making jam...he said no I am trying to keep my bees alive....not much around for them to eat .It has been a very dry year here.
The last load of water we got was the Nov 7th.So 2 months ago.
This may interest our reader of porridge ?
