I totally agree with your comment, it is the government cutting costs by using overseas companies who employ labour at 1/10th of what it costs here.

The government encourages us to "buy Australian" but I think leading by example would be a better solution. Look at the government cars, I did not see one Holden in the PM's entourage to see the GG, but I am digressing.

I still think that if a uniform is supplied FREE wear it, if consultation was not made with union members who should consult about the uniforms and look after their members then there is not much to  argue about.
