luckily in that particular "event" young men take part BEFORE they breed. usually when ppl kill themselves with stupidity they already have bred so there is no gain for the gene pool.

it is not brave and adventurous it is stupid, senseless and promotes animal cruelty.  it people want to risk their lives fine go jump off a cliff but leave the innocent animals out of it.  maybe they should just replace it with running of the fools and let them chase each other.

i like that idea vampire teddy.

they can wear viking hats if they need the thrill from the risk of being gored by horns.

So some challenges make you a hero  (maybe).  

Others like gorging with food or drink, or running with the bulls make you one of two things-

an alive idiot, or a dead idiot.  

I guesss when there's not many challenges left in Real Life, people, specially young people, turn to thrill-seeking and to ever more daring and dangerous stunts, like the recent planking craze, to test their bravado.
