Well, hope your coop isn't too close to the house, because they're loud buggers .. there is a clip on youtube where a rooster crows for 33 seconds non stop ... 😮

This is something I heard, so have no idea if it's true or not.
If you have the rooster somewhere that has a very low roof above his head, he doesn't crow as much. Apparently they stretch up with their neck/head to crow and if there is a roof, they can't.

I can't wait until he crows, when I grew up our nextdoor neighbour had a rooster and that was in the burbs, you just tune out to it but my bedroom was at the front of the house. We had a couple of ducks and they quacked for their wheat pretty early too
