Was he a good pet, Clair? I would like to have a pet tortoise. I've got a friend who had a pet sugar glider, sooooo cute. He rescued it when it was a baby and it travels around clinging to his beanie 🙂

He says one day it'll fly off to freedom, but I think it's enjoying his warm head too much.
.

Clair I gave you a kudo for being a turle lover.....it's my very first kudo "blush"

Thanks soul

Karen he was it's just really hard to get the tank to look like they do in the pet shops and I'm a bit funny with animals I used to worry - omg - that it wasn't peaceful enough for him with the tv on late in the night, loud sometimes Woman Embarassed

And the grand daughter screaming around the place. I worry too much about animals and it wasn't worth my worry. When the reptile keeper offered to take him for his own collection I thought he'd probably give him a better life. Even being with other turtles?

I had him for about two years, in fact it was the reptile keeper that told me it was a male, I never knew

That was nice of you, Clair... and I'm sure he's frolicking happily in a perfect pond full of friendly turtles now 🙂

Good afternoon Everyone Smiley Happy

have a good one

Thanks Laney and you are right  Karen (not having all the info does make people worry more... Nurses can only say so much though)).I've made an appointment for her for this afternoon so we can find out what the go is  which I think is what the nurse was wanting  (rather than leave it til late afternoon tomorrow especially as it's Fri tomorrow).

Good luck Iza,

I hope it's not as dire as it sounds ATM

when I was a little kid I had a pet tortoise, and I had it for many, many years, until one day he escaped under the back fence into a vacant block of land

Couldn't you catch it Deb?

Joono

I kept going in there looking for him Joono, but I never saw him again ( I always assumed it was a he)

"Couldn't you catch it Deb?"

? ....  Woman LOL

Haha

They are very slow moving, but you have to be able to see where they are to pick them up
