Thanks pepe, I'm a bit dissapointed with the bird, I couldn't get the brightness I wanted over the ink. Thinking of doing it again just using the oil pastels.

macaws are a very vibrantly coloured bird - except for during the moult, so call it 'macaw in moult' lol.
i'd love to see it in just pastels too.

It's good to try something different, although I get groans when I suggest a new project for my art class lol but they do it and either enjoy it or realise it doesn't suit their style.
One of the reasons I love art is because you never stop learning. Good luck with your new master pieces and I'd love to see them.

Hi Soul! Your paintings look great. 🙂 Hi artheads!
Here's something I did a week ago. It's the "Speak, friend, and enter" door to the dwarven mines of Moria, from the Lord of the Rings.
Some recent drawings. Arya Stark and Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones.

Hi moonlight !
I'm not familiar with Game of Thrones lol....but glad to see you're still enjoying drawing.
Have you done any more paintings, too? Would love to see them.

I haven't done any paintings in over a month. Here are some of my most recent ones. I draw them freehand, ink them, and then paint them with watercolours. Right now I am focussed on drawing portraits and buildings.

I like those! Especially the Donald and Daisy one.
