Tony Abbott has deflected questions about his heated comment in last night's campaign debate, when he asked if the Prime Minister would "ever shut up".
Instead, the Opposition Leader accused Kevin Rudd of being "feisty" and "confrontational" in a lively encounter that featured sharpened attacks from both leaders.
