called Vocal Fry though.  It's sort of the opposite to how a friend of mine talks, she is 40 but talks 

in this high little girl squeaky voice.

yes, it sounds sooooo bad, like finger nails down a black board.  Last time I spoke to the one at the jewers I was really tempted to suggest she see a speech therapist to fix her "broken" voice lol
