PS. there was nothing reportable in my post expressing sympathy for the people.

is this for me???

I have had you on ignore up until 2 seconds ago... I only removed you to see if you made a post I want to read considering this is a thread I made... and nope.. nothing of interest so i am putting you back on ignore...

so it was not me reporting you..

Those pics are hard to look at, I can't imagine how the people affected feel.

remember newman makin' same sort o' remark, selective blindness for opportunistic political reasons, per'aps

Most people I know here in bundy have decided to donate money straight to a family they know.  I did the same, no chance of some of the money going in admin costs etc or left sitting or going to people who are scamming.

but...to say this isn't as bad as 2011 ????? got to be kidding, it's much, much worse and it's going to take a very long time to get over, if ever for some people and business's.

No, it's just a comment because my post expressing sympathy was removed.

I love the way you like telling me you've got me on ignore  :^O

It reminds me of little kids telling one little kids they're not welcome at the lunch table.

One good thing about the Premiers Appeal is that the donations are collected by the Red Cross but the State pays for all the admin costs so every single cents should be handed over to the people in need...

i don't know what happened last time... I do know that there was money left over and the public wanted the cash to be put aside for a "next time" situation but Bligh said that could not be done and the money was given to a charity

I think that there needs to be a permanent emergency levy... I do not think that many would argue having to pay it. The money should be collected and put aside into a safe account and only used to fund emergencies like the cyclone, floods and fires that we experience.

Miss 6 asked me for some coins to donate at her school tomorrow..... "teacher is collecting money for the poor people in Bundaberg."

I explained they were not poor people but their homes were flooded or destroyed.

"well, they are poor people then" she said.

oh how sweet... that is so cute...

I guess lots of people that had lots are now poor...

poor in material goods but rich in spirit.. :-x
