Ah, see bob, your fundamental problem is putting so much importance on AFL. Now, if it were the NRL Finals or any Super Rugby game I'd be with you 😛
Actually I follow pretty much all sports including NRL and union. So how do you explain to someone why these things matter?

I loved playing baseball, football, and even backetball, but never liked watching people I don't know play. I don't really get the whole thing...but pretty obvious a sports fan that has been watching the whole season is going to want to see the finals.
If someone couldn't understand that, I wouldn't even try to explain it to them.
It's a tradition going way back....though I wouldn't be sitting in the stands.

so you're saying Bob, that you have no reason as to why sport is so important to you, it just is, right?
Sport makes me feel alive and I get that tingly feeling.
How do you hold your beer if your hands are in your pockets?
Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.
