🙂 )

Now I have two little black australorp hens, about 13 weeks old.
They are still small but will grow over the next weeks to their 'real' size.

Should have eggs started in 4-6 weeks. They are sooo cute :-x

They should be thrilled with the two apple cores, and tomato and cucumber trimmings they will get for breakfast. 😄

One of my cats saw them and had twitchy tail syndrome, the other cat hasn't seen them yet.
I locked them into the nesting box just before dark.

I'm hoping the cats' presence will deter mice from trying to get into the grain feeder.

I thought I'd leave the naming until I see their personalities. The website of the place I got them from said that Australorps are 'real larrikins', so names like buffy or fluffy probably won't suit them. 🙂

works for duck too 🙂

My chickies did not like the big winds over the last two days. 😞

They kept hiding in their box.
