I've known very mature 15 year olds, and very immature 21 year olds.  I think each situation needs to be judged on merit, with regard to the particular makeup of the two individuals.  If it is a controlling relationship, with the older person pressuring the younger one, then yes it is wrong.  But we see that sort of relationship every single day across all age groups.

I have personally known a relationship that started with a 16 yr old boy and a 20 yr old girl.  They went on to marry and are very happy together.  It was hard for the first couple of years, as they were very restricted in where they could go. Anywhere licenced wasn't an option as the girl was too young to be responsible for an under age person. 

The problem with trying to prevent young people seeing each other is that they will rebel. Especially a 15 yr old boy.  Better to manage it within the confines of your home, and let it run it's course.

The pair just hooked up the other day but are doing the texting thing and have made arrangements for a date.

Sox and booze haven't been involved yet.

I've seen a pic of him and he is just a baby.

This is like watching someone walking around with a "kick me" sign on their back.....that they've put there themselves !

as for the OP........no black or white answer as there isn't enough information...but if it's "dating" as in going out, then unless one is mature or the other is immature, I don't think it would last long anyway.

I've never been one for rules, common sense is usually what's needed.
