My computers are much nicer and don't look like they're made for a basement teen. It's the truth, sorry. Mine don't have any duct tape and I don't need to hide them behind temporary shelving lol

A3 apple laptops do come with large screens. I'm not sure what they're called, but I have a graphic designer friend who owns one.

don't knock the duct tape! it fixes everything!

actually that's wrong, there was one thing recently that it didn't fix, but that's irrelevant.

so show us your set up JMK, show us the specs.

"nice" such a nondescript word eh?

the shelving is the walls for my office! I've split the garage and taken that over.

I have no idea how to bolt the screens to the wall, (was scared they would fall off like my dryer did) so this seemed the best option, they can't go anywhere now! The screens are just 26 inch flat screen TV monitors and they don't have stands.

Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.

CN:  "Most of us want to move with the times and take advantage of improved technology not hold everything back to avoid the need for upgrades.  We may as well have stuck with VGA cameras."

"Misconceptions

  • The VGA rating refers only to size and not to clarity. A 640-by-480 pixel image is about the equivalent of a 0.3 megapixel image. The issues of distortion and clarity loss only occur when the image is either enlarged beyond its original parameters for printing or is viewed on a screen that uses a larger resolution."

If all you do is  drive  around locally and visit the local shops,  how does owning a Maserati help, especially if you  have no idea how to get it out of first gear.?

That I think,as I mentioned before, is why some  want a FTTH NBN because they do not  fully understand the technology involved,  and what they actually need.

What  hardware (software even)  specification improvements  would you need FN from  your "moving with the times" Internet access hardware over and above the previously mentioned specifications for my $130 IBM Lenovo ThinkCentre desktop?

wrist-resters are ok, provided they're removable, don't like 'em, m'self.

m'self, bought ducky shine11 backlit, mechanical, came in at around $150 all up.

they look really cool! They make them with red back lighting too, which is a bonus! (for me)

The ones I saw don't have USB, Audio or mike ports, do you know if any of them do?

I liked that feature.

Also, do the second function of the numbers and F keys light up? (You know, the &^%$ etc) They do on the stalker which is a bonus, didn't on the widow, but I do like that feature.

45g AF force sounds good, it's 50 on the stalker. and I like the keys on the ducky, they're like the widow.(keys suck on the stalker) the lazer engraving is a good feature too.

only found one stockist though and they're out of stock 😞

Mines a tobshib satellite, great little machine, upgraded from an Acer when I took on more study.  OH got the Acer, kids use the HP desktop and a really old Asus lappy and DD got an Acer when she started Distance Ed.  Lot's of puters here admittedly but the most I paid half price for or on special at the time.  we started out with a 50.00 computer back in 1997 seem to have progressed from there. Nothing that fancy though def not 2,000 worth!
