My sister owns a hair-dressing/beauty supply (wholesale) company, and is a hairdresser herself. It's rather more expensive, but she recommends the Rusk Mega-Curl (I think) at about $200 retail.

I only know this because I've been trying to source one for my daughter's Christmas present (you'd think a loving sister would let me have one free wouldn't you?).

Cheers,

Marina.

i think you can re-use them several times over years.

how much does curls cost in a hairdressers shop?

i don't know but i guess that if you use that thing about 3-4 times it's cheaper than the hairdresser.

Isn't Vidal Sassoon any good for $40?   I don't know

I have a straightener myself

who knows....sometimes you buy the cheapy, and then because it's bleep you then buy the good one later which in the end is more expensive.

sometimes the cheapies do....i have no idea, i had to google what a triple barrel is, but compared to the cost of having it done in a hairdressers shop it does not seem to be too bad.

I have had 2 different brands and took both back, they were hopeless.

One was close to $100 and the other about $60 was half price.

No amount of letting them get hot and then timing them to make sure it stayed on my hair long enough they did nothing.

I would like to try the $200 because it might have the power or oomph to be good.

I was told by one seller my hair wasn't long enough (how she would know when it was tied up in a bun) and the other told me my hair was too long!
