Interesting. I can understand how insincerity can attract followers like Tim does in Big Brother.

Not sure about that.   The willing participants are aware of the consequences.  Even if they are not winners, the exposure has opened doors to quite a few of them.   Someone will be $250k richer.  The "misfortunes" are just part of the game.

Personally, I watch it because of the funny characters.  Ben used to make me laugh a lot,  some of the things Drew comes up with are very funny.  All the conflicts are naturally unavoidable but mainly,  its the funny situations I look forward to.
