Great artworks!

Someone stole this from the Brisbane Quilt Fair this week. It won a first prize and then disappeared. It is about 75cm x 45cm I think.

"Feathers Unfolden"

First prize winning quilt by Brenda Wood was stolen from the wall shortly after the prize presentations were completed. If anyone sees this quilt please please please contact Queensland Quilters and dob the offender in. It is part of a group exhibition by Reddy Arts Textile Group and I am sure everyone would like to see it restored to it's maker and owner.

That is a very striking quilt, I like it a lot.

For someone to steal that is lower than low behaviour. How upsetting for the quilts owner. Hopefully publicity on the net about its theft will help to get it recovered.

Beautiful quilt, hope it's returned.

I've finished the pastel painting.

First one is before using the linseed oil over the pastels

Second is after.....not great pic as the oil is still wet so some areas will look better in a few days.

Obviously it's not a realistic painting hahaa!  I just love using different colours

some will like it and some will not.

Do you ever watch Colour In Your Life ?  Half hour show, an Australian artist (can't remember his name) travels around oz, calling in on artists who spend time showing how they create their art.  All very different and helpful when wondering how some looks are achieved.  It's on the chanel 4me in qld, not sure about elsewhere.

My big painting is driving me nuts hahahaa!!  I was hoping to have finished it in time for the Lighthouse Art Festival in Burnett Heads this month but the closing date is this Thursday....don't like my chances....unless I don't sleep for a couple of nights !

joono.......have you done any more painting ?  I was really looking forward to seeing more wildflower paintings.  You showed talent in the first two and I hope you will do more ????

Hi everyone.  Moonlight, I haven't tried Pooh just yet and truthfully I think I am much better at admiring other peoples art work than creating it myself. I will continue to give it a go now and then.

I think yours has really improved Moonlight and Soul, yours always looks good to me.  Your patio mural is my favourite.

Azureline, I hope that quilt is located.  That was a rotten rotten thing for someone to do.
