YAH !!!!

will you be doing any more flowers, too joono? Please xx

and thankyou for your lovely words about my artwork.....I do have a very thick skin by now, but hearing nice things is great !

I would like some feedback on the pastel painting if anyone has any ideas that would improve it......I won't be offended at all, it's  good seeing things through another persons eyes.

the colours are beautiful. I love the different colours in the mountains, the water is pretty. I think though, there is not enough colour variation betrween the rocks in the foreground and the rocks in the background.

Thanks joono. Good to see that you are having a go. 🙂

Thanks skwerl xxx

you're right....I did try to add lighter and more interesting colour to the foreground rock but the pastel just wouldn't go on.........was just going to leave it but I think I'll try scaping some pastel back to the underpainting and try putting more definition.

see, feedback is good !!!!  I would have been to lazy to bother hahahaa!

I'll take another pic when it's done.

Do you ever watch Colour In Your Life ?  Half hour show, an Australian artist (can't remember his name) travels around oz, calling in on artists who spend time showing how they create their art.  All very different and helpful when wondering how some looks are achieved.  It's on the chanel 4me in qld, not sure about elsewhere.

Morning soul. 🙂

Just realised that I never answered your question. I've never heard of Colour In Your Life, and have never seen it in the TV guide. I don't know if it it shown in Perth at all.

Hi moonlight, maybe google it?  It may be available on the net.

I keep forgetting to ask you if you've tried sketching with charcoal yet?  It's easier than pencil I think, as you can vary the shading a lot more.  you use a squishy eraser with it to remove areas to make them lighter etc.  I think it gives more control.  Only cheap too.

I've given it some thought. Officeworks sells some charcoal pencils(packet of 5) for $8, so I'll get some this weekend. 🙂

That's a bit exxy moonlight.  You can buy boxes of willow charcoal for about $5 and the box I have, I've used for about 4 years and still have half left lol

Have you looked on ebay for supplies?  If the only place you have to buy supplies is Office Works, it's probably cheaper to buy online and there is soooo many products to choose from. Spotlight have an okay range too.  I didn't find Office Works to have much when I looked.

The brand is Faber Castell. There is a pack of 10 for $10.25, Jasart brand. I live close to an OW, so I tend to buy most of my art gear there.
