In that case Flashie, try and get outdoors for awhile to enjoy it. It sounds like t's going to be short lived. Speaking of wind there was a mini tornado in Ararat last night.
I dont think I've ever seen such a windy October'![]()
and where is Clair??
it's way too quiet around here without her

A quick good morning Stringers ![]()
What a changeable and diverse continent weatherwise! I take back my crowing about our beautiful weather - storms predicted tomorrow lol.
Karen it IS hard making the decision about what to take! When my home was last threatened, I took LL to kennels for her safety and just took off. I took nothing else strangely enough, deciding that the important things were in my heart and my head and that the material things really didn't matter. Each to their own of course.
Try and stay dry and warm Viccies - Nic and Deb ![]()
Flashie - sounds like you have the owl and the pea green boat covered (or will have by the end of the day) but what about the other 'member' of the group? Enjoy your holiday - shame about the weather prediction for your show day ![]()

Off to the gym for me - catch up later

Good morning everyone. Blowing a gale here but that's not unusual for this time of the year. We always get strong easterly winds in spring as soon as it starts to warm up. I can't go outside yet or I'll get knocked out by a flying frond.

Good Afternoon everyone
Lovely day again....a bit windy as usual but not blowing a gale like it was for what seemed like weeks.
Spent a bit of time watering this morning...don't usually bother much, my motto is, if it can't handle the weather and turns up it's toes and carks it...so be it....but, we haven't had rain for sooo long I really don't want ALL the trees and plants to die !! Most are pretty hardy, have to be but even the geisha girls and hibiscus look very sad.
The geramiums don't mind and the vincas are taking over lol
Don't really feel like doing much at all this arvo...so wont
enjoy the rest of hump day.

Gosh I feel sorry for those poor students in the Blue Mountains who are currently trying to sit for their HSC exams - some of them having lost their homes ![]()
It is a stressful enough time for them without having to deal with these other serious issues.
Good luck to them all!
