I'd have to go the cynical route and say this was a political and photo op stunt. Of course he and his staff would know that it would be leaked somehow (how could they not) and honestly what a better way to up the popularity ante than to declare therewas never any press release until after "it was revealed" on social media. I bet they had everything already prepared waiting for the "secret" to be revealed.

Even though they are a part of society they are only a small percentage of the whole
most politicians use social media these days, as do the police and a large percentage of society in general. Are you saying everyone is doing the wrong thing (in your opinion)

What I said was " bears no resemblance to the rest of society." 🙂

I also thank Mr Abbott for his dedication to community service. All the nasty bitter comment on here would please that disgusting reprobate Mike Carlton, who tweets the most foul lies every day, he's full of hate.
Mr Abbott is the right Prime Minister for this country, the right Prime minister to be in charge of this country because there are headwinds heading our way in the financial market but that couldn't interest anyone on here.
I thank God that we have a decent man, a man of principle & honour, not like the scum Labor put up as appropriate people when they know they are no good; see Rudd & Gillard.
So again, Thank you Prime Minister Abbott ![]()
