Handy hint: Put a smear of vegemite on a splinter and it is so much easier to see and then remove

lol. If you're having trouble reading an embossed maker's mark on the bottom of pottery, smear it with vegemite, it will become clearer.

How odd/peculiar/obssessive to find the need to post Tony's name in just about every thread posted in.
The high salt content puts me off vegemite.
Vegemite is high in sodium. Originally at a salt content of 10 percent, the amount has since been lowered to around 8 percent, total. A 1 tsp. serving of Vegemite contains over 10 percent of the total recommended daily intake.
One vegemite sandwich provides 50% of a childs daily salt intake.

I love vegemite...have it for brekkie, either on toast or on my weetbix....use it in my shepherds pie and spag bog...makes a brilliant stock.
When I lived in the US, it was standard for my family to include vegemite in all care packages....until it was no longer able to be sent...then I had to outsource it from a little shop in Tecumseh...cost a bloody fortune...lol

Surely you don't put five teaspoons of vegemite on one sandwich?
