That's right, so they did. I'd forgotten about that. Even the $250k grand prize hasn't increased at all to my memory, and even allowing for our relatively low inflation, is should still be up around $300k by now, surely?

Also during the show one of the contestants won a car, as well as during the games night if I recall correctly they had some games where they could win $5,000.

A couple of years ago while it was still in the hands of Channel 10, the housemates were fined quite substantial amounts during their stay for the most paltry of offences, and the total amount tallied at the end of the program was deducted from the winner's cheque.

I thought at the time it was a disgusting thing to do, which is presumably why it only happened on the one occasion. 😞

Yep the prize money is piddly, considering the popularity of the show and the $$$ they would be collecting from it.

Yes, they did, even if they were evicted after only a few weeks in the house. As well as a new car I think they also received a free overseas holiday 'courtesy of Kumuka Travel' or something like that.

 

I guess Ch 9 don't have the funds that Ch 10 did.

I recall during one season of BB they received cars but was that the case with most contestants during all BB series on ch 10??

There was an article in a magazine , where there is a story claiming the show is rigged that they already knew the winner 3 months ago.

 

which the producers disclaim  in saying they cannot rig the voting

 

but in them saying that they can quite well manipulate what we are viewing.

 

 

 

apparently there is growing support for jade   i really don't know how i believe she doesn't deserve to win.

 

i hope it is tim, or tahan or even drew as they have been the 3 most entertaining people in the house.
