@poddster wrote:Aren't you exaggerating by a factor or 3? It's 500 billion I believe. It is sad to see but you must admit that the debt that the previous government ran up has to be covered.
The proof of the pudding will be when the debt starts to go down, not forgetting that the 500 billion is just a limit, a buffer.
I guess that fact is being ignored though, it's contrary to the agenda of the complainants.
It depends where you live.
In the American system one billion is 1,000,000,000 and a trillion is 1,000,000,000,000 so one trillion is one thousand times one billion.
In the British system one billion is 1,000,000,000,000 and one trillion is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 so one trillion is one million times one billion.

Could it be that the treasure at that time was not privy to the level of debt created by the previous government?
I think that swannie kept that close to his chest

Now the Indonesians give an alternative spin on that boat that Australia tried to tow back. They say it was 107 nautical miles off the Indonesian coast and not the 50 Morrison claimed.Apparently a cargo vessel backs up their claim.Indonesia is considering decreasing their territorial waters, according to a reporter on Lateline, because they haven't the equipment to deal with this problem.

A3: "Yes, I have noted that there are very few people here that are supporters of Tony Abbott & co."
That would make it a matriarchal left leaning Board with a tenuous grip on research and economics. Hardly a microcosm when one looks at the larger picture:
Primary Vote Seats
Labor ALP 33.4% 55
Coalition 45.6% 90

And I'm sick of hearing about his mandate. He does not have one. Or a referendum. Yet he keeps insisting he does. Fool that he is.
If he has a mandate the bill will twerk pass through the House of reps and the senate......

I watched it. It was painful. I agree with Germaine Greer surprised he is a Rhodes scholar.
Remember some of these scholarships can be bought. Perhaps by Mummy and Daddy.
