Hi Poddy....in relation to your previous comments on Labor's debt, what do you think about the current Treasurer wanting to raise the debt limit to one and a half trillion?
on 13-11-2013 09:30 PM
Aren't you exaggerating by a factor or 3? It's 500 billion I believe. It is sad to see but you must admit that the debt that the previous government ran up has to be covered.
The proof of the pudding will be when the debt starts to go down, not forgetting that the 500 billion is just a limit, a buffer.
I guess that fact is being ignored though, it's contrary to the agenda of the complainants.

What an absolute embarrassment. Testosterone! Hairy Chest! Stop the Boats! Loaded question! Bloomin heck. Disclsures about spying on other countries. Lordy lordy lordy.
This poor excuse for a man forgets that he is our employee. How do we know what is going on when he won't tell us. Telling us to watch the weekly press conference re the boats and when anyone asks a question they're told "it's an operational matter and we won't be discussing it". And he's blaming the media. The man is dilussional. I predict he won't last long at all. He can't even answer a basic question without going on and on and on and on about stopping the boats and the labor party. Someone needs to tell him he just doesn't cut the mustard.
And I'm sick of hearing about his mandate. He does not have one. Or a referendum. Yet he keeps insisting he does. Fool that he is.

the previous government policy encouraged the illegal arrivals by their inaction over a 6 year period and you expect results in less than one month.
Unlike the previous government this one is more focused on action instead of voluminous verbal diatribe at every opportunity.
Labour, Dysfunction is thy name

The previous Govt isn't in power now. The focus is on the current Prime Minister. Be a bit dumb if we just discussed the Labor Party in the last few years and never critically analysed the new PM & his Govt.

I stand corrected Poddy.....the anticipated new debt level is half a trillion.

The 500 billion is the ceiling if we ever get to that then there is real trouble, i , personally dont think it will go above 380 billion unless there is a recession and then heaven help us all
