Because they can.......and it's legal.
Toy guns will have to be licenced in QLD under new firearms
Incorrect storage carries a penalty of $750.
The Victorian law is relatively new but ignorantia legis neminem excusat
How ridiculous......... It's nearly 2014......hows that idea coming along. (From 2010).
Kids can legally wave their toy guns around.......whether you approve or not.
Not necessarily. The gun may have been manufactured as a toy but if it looks real, it is classed as an imitation in the State of Victoria. (not to be confused with replica). It has nothing to do with my approval. Who do you think I am?When was that law passed?........ It hasn't.
Go to your local toy store........and see if you need a licence to purchase the toy guns.......I bet they will laugh too...
You don't actually need a licence but you need an Approval or an Exemption. So do traders.
When was the law passed in Vic? From what I remember when looking at the information about Prohibited Weapons on the Vic Police website, it was July 2011.
As I said earlier, there is no excuse for ignorance.
