What did he lie about?  He vowed to stop asylum seeker boats in term one of Coalition government.

He also said the Opposition policies on border protection would make a difference from day one.  They have.

Did anyone actually believe he meant the boats will stop coming from day one?  Really?

Day one passed months ago, there were less boats in the 8 week lead up to the election under rudd.

Can we save the other lies for a different thread?

I added it because that was what he said. 

You said the lie about stopping the boats was one of many.  I simply asked what they were.

I'm pretty sure we've been told for the last few months he lied about this, every day i reckon... we know

(I have no idea what his promise actually was BTW,) as I said I'm not positive I want the boats stopped, I hope we can get as many people here as possible, preferably without them being in danger, but hey, that's their choice I guess if there are no other options

but I do agree with off shore processing (though was shocked at the tents on Nauru when I learned that today) I'm also a bit pissy about people complaining about the type of care we do give to those we do manage to help.

anyway, is this thread about 39 people who were saved or a chance to rehash what's been said over and over again for the last few months if it's the latter, then I best be off.

So all the times he said "stop the boats" he is forgiven because a handful of times he said (and nobody heard) that it was going to be in one term, that is rubbish!
