What you said below is what partly motiviated my original post.  I am so over politics in general, in fact I hate the whole shebang.

"I've noticed that most people participating in or starting the political threads don't post on any other topic other than politics.

If this keeps up CS will be THE political board because no other topic will be entertained for discussion".
