So far it's alive .. and it's hers to keep if it hatches. Last time she hatched any she took it out and never brought it back .. so she'll stay in the coop this time if it hatches.

yes, she does Clair, but.....she doesn't go into the chook house wearing thigh high gum boots, glasses of champers in hand, singing romantic melodies, then produce a bottle of oil, to supposedly "help" said broody chook.

Erica is a great mum, one of the eggs was cracked lol but I think when I lifted her up once, one egg either was in her claw? or caught somewhere underneath her and it dropped onto another egg, must've cracked as I thought, nothing inside it but yolk though?

Well I posted on the 28th that the man gave me the eggs for her to sit on, then yesterday there was the cracked egg so that's 8 days that she'd been sitting on them.

I wish I could have chooks, I reckon that would be cool. There is nothing like home fresh eggs is there!! So is there going to be any babies Clair?
