I bought some solar colour changing fairy lights from aldi...have them along the deck roof guttering. I'm going to leave them there, they look great. Also got some solar balls for the pool. Hope the frogs like the fairy lights as they're about the only ones that see them lol

I thought about those lights for the pool Soul, but I figured it would just attract more insects. The resident frog probably wouldn't mind.
(p.s. my pool is a kiddie pool and has 2 inches of last years water in the bottom of it, and a big green frog)

The only problem I have with them is if they are left out long after Xmas.....at which time they become visual pollution
I have seen some left out months after Xmas..

I think the frog would like having dinner at the ready skwerl.....and they look good too. I've got one of those hebel blocks and thought about sculpting a forearm/hand, then having the solar ball in the palm, could use double sided tape to stick it there. I was going to use glass mosaics on a styrafoam ball but the solar one would look good.

We put up two sets of multicoloured Icicle lights on the front fence this evening. It was dark when we finished and we were sitting out the front of the house having a beer when a vehicle did a sloooooow drive-by, turned around just past our lights, drove slooooowly by again and kept going. Hubby says jokingly "haha it's probably Man-on-the-hill" (the bloke who has lots of lights up this year) "Haha", says I, "that would be funny."
Hubby says "Quick see which way the car goes, it's probably Such-and-Such scoping to see what he can steal" (Such-and-such is a notorious thief in the village)
Anyway I watch and cracked up when I saw where the car went. It was Man-on-the-hill !! hahahahhaahhaha
Game On
