I wouldn't describe Christmas Island as terribly merry.

Yesterday I watched a documentary about the millions of red crabs on Christmas Island. Nothing christmassy about it.
Besides, aren't some hundreds of boat people being kept there?
I would not buy those stamps, even if they are the only 55cent stamp awailable this year.
Disgusting behaviour from AP. ![]()

Why? Aren't the residents allowed to have a festive season?
55 cents is the cost of sending cards.

I am not amused a Christmas card posted to the UK costs $2.55 now. Cards sent worldwide were all sent same rate ($1.70 this yr) now they have applied zoning.
Yes, AP has a lower charge for cards..saving a
whole 5c on each one.
Even our local PO staff don't seem impressed with the new rates.

Cards being sent at Christmas time have their own stamp, which is 55 cents. They have had this cheaper stamp for Christmas cards for a few years now.
