if any of my mates got accused of a bromance they'd punch the **bleep** out of each just to prove otherwise.
It's a bit poncey.
I still don't get what pushing the envelope means. Isi t like pushing the boundaries? and if so why not say pushing the boundaries.
There's a term I hear on telly that I really hate, but I can't remember what it is.
I think it is something entertainment reporters say trying to be hip/trendy/ etc.

"Pushing the envelope" actually has scientific/aeronautic origins and refers to the "flight envelope" which has something to do with the parameters within which flight is feasable - hence pushing the envelope is about stretching these margins to see what one can get away with before one crashes.
Or something a bit like that - I'm operating on memory and it ain't what I used to think it was.
