Because peacock feathers are supposed to be very bad luck
to have in the house. Its supposed to be an evil eye
I love 'em. But I wouldn't have one in the house
Just putting it out there : \
No I'm not superstitious, i believe in lots of esoteric type things, but decided many years ago superstitions weren't something to be afraid of. That photo of the peacock feather was taken outside but it's safely back in it's inside spot now bringing me joy because they really are a beautiful thing 🙂

My mother had a pair of scissors like that. She used them for dressmaking and haircuts. They originally had green tortoiseshell patterned enamel on them but it wore off with use.

Hairdressing scissors which have a curved piece on one of the end parts where you hold them.
My mother had scissors like that also.
