Buy a Norwex cloth and use water. Best window cleaner ever.

Some, umm, interesting tips !

now as for cleaning windows......Grrrr. I have tried just about everything, except azs suggestion of a norwex cloth.

CLR did the best job.  Last house the windows were the same as here, so I think the sprays used on the cane must affect the glass.

Chuk, I can't eat much fibre etc, so sometimes I peel everything, even tomatoes.  It was just fluky that I connected the no burping.  I alwasy peel them now and it works !
