there is no solution to reverse the affects of man made climate change, it is simply irreversible!
the only way for the planet to fully recover is the extinction of the human species
says you. many disagree with that fatalistic view.

Joz, see the post earlier on about Bill, a real Aussie hero and a man with a family ![]()
I do not find reality scary. I find it scary that others do to the extent that they are prepared to ruin so much for so many

The climate debate is over, so debating the science of climate change with skeptics is fruitless. Jeff Schiller explains the way forward.
HERE AND ELSEWHERE, there has been renewed enthusiasm to tackle the problem of climate change.
Commentators have asked what has happened to the public debate.
It’s dead, as it should be.
That is not to include some excellent online educational outlets and annual reports of the latest research. These are brilliant resources that must inform our activity here on. However, the so-called “climate debate” has been tried and is proven to be a bad tactic.

We do need to repair forests...not just forests on land, but also in oceans. I think ocean sea grass forests produce more oxygen than land, but that's from memory so may not be correct.
I personally like a combination approach.
Repair wrecked forests (and stop chopping them down)
Price on carbon (to motivate big polluters to slow down)
And big big big expenditure on clean energy. I reckon govt should sponsor some major prizes for companies / inventors to produce affordable solar panels and other forms of clean power and clean transport. They have to be affordable so everyone can buy them. If they win, they get their setup costs funded by govt.
I remember Microsoft sponsored a competition to produce cheap laptops for Africa and within a year they were delivering them. I'd like to see something like that.

you are right there. , i view apathetic acceptance as a social norm and i understand why it is so prevalent . i'm certainly not criticising you personally . a person can understand something, that doesn't inspire them want to go out and do anything necessarily .
