omg... Palmer is the most dishonest of all politicians that I know. he lies, cheats and bullies out of politics and now he will be able to do it all under parliamentary privilege
he locks people out of properties they own
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-11-19/clive-palmer-in-standoff-with-coolum-resort-residents/5103098
he siphons off $12 million out of one business just at the same time he spends $12 million on his political campaign

thats true Paints but it's worse this time as during the Howard years, we at least still had some manufacturing in Vic. and the economy was in better shape before the GFC
.................................................................................................................................................................................................................
They should be building and encouraging manufacting in Australia not pushing it offshore.....and the best they can promise is is 'building roads'???!!!....well, they'll just bring in more 457 workers to do this for (illegal below min. wage) corporate fat cat entities that will win tenders for these contracts.
.................................................................................................................................................................................................................
that's their big sweetener isn't it.? creating employment by building infrastructure, it remains to be seen whether the jobs will be given to Australians or 457's visas
There is some meat company here in Vc that was given money to extend by the Napthine govt and most of the workers there are on 417 visas. some temporary backpacker visa i think that is.
.................................................................................................................................................................................................................
it's all smoke and mirrors.....ultimately this will not benefit the everyday working Australian but it will fatten the pockets of the fat cats and their mates.

Because we have a 22 year old still studying, we have topped up our private health cover to include her so at this point are paying $420 month. This is after the 30% rebate and includes dental and optical. We still have gaps to pay when we use services.
Recently we received a letter that the private hospital in our region, whose services we would be most likely to use, is no longer affiliated with our health fund.
I would much rather pay the equivalent in tax towards a better public health system.
I work in a regional Public Health Service and if a patient with private health cover is admitted we are supposed to encourage them to come in as a private patient. It's a joke. In our area, there is still no choice of doctor, no extra entitlement to a private room, just bills upon discharge for services that public inpatients receive for free.

Clive Palmer is a self-made billionaire he knows how to run a business and make money. I am sure he will make money for our country without penny pinching from old age pensioners. The problem with labor and liberal is they are in it for the money, it is a career path for them but not for Clive Palmer. Clive donates 100% of his parliamentary wage to charity, he is interested in the country not the salary from being a politician.
