Job seekers will be required to provide evidence of their previous paid work to allow the department to determine the duration of the initial working period.
Quite a lot of information there re the changes and how/who they'll affect.

thas true Paints but it's worse this time as during the Howard years, we at least still had some manufacturing in Vic. and the economy was in better shape before the GFC

They should be building and encouraging manufacting in Australia not pushing it offshore.....and the best they can promise is is 'building roads'???!!!....well, they'll just bring in more 457 workers to do this for (illegal below min. wage) corporate fat cat entities that will win tenders for these contracts.

that's their big sweetener isn't it.? creating employment by building infrastructure, it remains to be seen whether the jobs will be given to Australians or 457's visas
There is some meat company here in Vc that was given money to extend by the Napthine govt and most of the workers there are on 417 visas. some temporary backpacker visa i think that is.

The 1% can rest easy.....
None of the obvious targets โ superannuation concessions, negative gearing and the associated concessional treatment of capital gains, diesel fuel rebates and so on โ have been touched. All of these measures are expensive and distorting to the Australian economy. Our system of tax concessions rewards speculation, in everything from housing to coal tenements to gaming licenses, a fact that can be easily verified by looking at the various "rich lists", and the way in which those riches were acquired.

I have voted liberal my whole life but at the next election I will be voting for Palmer United.
Why you ask?
Because old age pensioners are going to be charged a fee for going to the doctor. Old age pensioners have worked hard their whole life, they've paid their dues. Old age pensioners should be paid for going to the doctor not charged a fee. These people are vulnerable and some will go without being checked as they simply can't afford so many checkups, which will cause unnecessary deaths from lack of care.
LNP you have lost our vote!
Never again!
