I can kinda see his point, then again alot of people say things like that but won't walk the talk. He probably went home that night and had a top drop of some lovely wine, maybe slipped into a jacuzi for some relaxation before settling in front of his 50 inch super duper tv, oh after driving home in his govt funded car too. What a hypocrite, he should go live in a poor Asian country then he wouldn't be so smug!
