Nothing here either, although my granddad left me his Toby Jugs and I still have those.

A Weta is a very large New Zealand insect.

  I dunno how that fits in with LOTR figurines.

That particular doll is a reproduction.    Most of my things are antique or vintage.   The new ones had to be special.

 

I can't check with this response box open, but I think the doll behind her is an antique Just Me.

 

I don't think I have a Kestner any longer (but don't hold me to that).   I had one I loved but sold it long ago.  That's the thing about collecting.  At some point you want better.   Then you give away things you now realize don't look as nice to you and/or sell good ones to get better ones.    Even so, someday there's no more room to add anything!   LOL

Weta's are just a big spiky grass hopper that bites some times.

 

I used to be frightened of Weta's and spiders but after living in Australia not frightened of any thing now.

Yes you are right  its a very stressful hobby collecting china i can tell you  especially when the cats enter the display room and decide to get a closer look at things from the top of cabinets and things start to shake.....

LOL I'm a bit like that too. I used to sell something and then replace it with something better. These days I try not to buy so much. My doll collection I downsized a few years ago, but I still have a couple of Kestners.

Jenni, we had strongish earth tremor here in Vic either last year or the year before and I was watching my antique glass on top of the Crystal cabinet bouncing around with great dread lol
