"strange choice for what was it in you post, australian of the year? for what, being mates with the coalition or stealing?" She was a union official and certainly where the latter was concerned she had tradition to uphold !

"strange",   certainly,  in that a real journalist and ALP member and ex ALP luminary:  Gary Johns, once the Assistant Minister for Industrial Relations  and Special Minister of State in the Keating government would declare in a real newspaper:

"KATHY Jackson is this column's Australian of the year."

"strange"  certainly,  because Jackson would know that "hell hath no fury"  where  an exposed union(ist) is concerned, and I am not alluding to Thomson.

"strange" that BILL SHORTEN has commented : Labor will cooperate with the Royal commission. We believe that there should be the best possible standards in workplace relations. Labor has no place for any criminality or corrupt behaviour.

Whether Jackson will be shown (proved) to have followed in the steps of the corrupt ALP and unionist mates who have been actually convicted, and not by hearsay, we will have to wait and see, but I find it strange  the distaste for due process in the form of a much needed Royal Commission into alleged union corruption over the years.

"strange" that Johns applauds Jackson, it certainly is not.
