Stawks, I use sugar tongs for smaller platters of food rather than the usual cooking tongs which are way too big - so tell your daughter she can use them for that - the flat surface of them is great for sliced things like char grilled corgettes/eggplant - sliced meats and fish etc

These ones are very delicate.  Men's clumsy hands would bend them.

They are for "lay dees"           Similar to these

Ice tongs are flat.  I also got her silver ice tongs.

They can be confusing, though

i don't have ice tongs either - and no ice bucket - i have led a deprived life *sniff*

The little ones - put them near regular kitchen tongs for sizing

I did buy some ice buckets a few weeks ago (but used em for strawberry plants)
