He's going to be a big boy when he grows up.  Both my sons took a while to adjust to the length of their limbs.  

 

They learnt to tuck their elbows and the feet closer to the chair.

 

I'm sure you'll instil the correct way .

MC is 6'1" at 16 (hit 6" neat at about 14)

 

and BC is and has been 6"4' since he was about 14

 

Think it was the milkman - I'm 5'6" and the OH is 5'8"

BC = Mens 13 EU 46 (but needs bigger - toes right at the end of that, so he has to make sure his toe nails are trimmed and is forever wearing through the ends)

Its awful to watch sometimes  but I have every confidence in him.

My 22 year old does that too, I think he has three stages, he's swallowing one mouthful whilst chewing the next, whilst loading and raising the fork! Sort of like a shovel man loading the fire on an old steam train!
