they sell that anti- cat plant in bunnings.

did you try to plant that?

That doesn't work. Plus that smell makes me nauseous as well.

love it. I am a cat person, and have a real problem with people who don't build an enclosure or keep their cats in at night.

Blessed are the cracked, for they are the ones who let in the light.

maybe just put bait out then.

i am too soft to do it myself but i am almost fed up enough to do it (if that makes any sense to you).

My Council lends cages to trap wandering, annoying cats.

You bait the trap/s with cat food, cats get locked in - council picks them up 9am.

If they are microchipped, the owner gets a hefty fine.

If no ownership - bye bye kitty.

Oh, I had a roaming cat beating up my kitty(she's old)in her own

backyard in the daytime.   She gets locked in at night.  I used the trap.

Haven't seen it since - bye bye kitty

So la_au, are you then suggesting that all cats in Australia be euthanised because that is the only solution to your dilemma. plan a: let them roam - noooo they kill wild life plan b: build an enclosure. Of decent proportions of course. no that's cruel plan c: Your suggestion please Oh just so you know, foxes kill cats

it's  the same problem we have with our planet being destroyed.

there is a fairly "simple" solution to the destruction of the planet : STOP BREEDING LIKE RABBITS!!!

yet no one adheres to it because it's inconvenient.

imagine if the world population was 1 million. do you think we would have global warming?

or house prices that a normal person can pay off in their lifetime (unlike now)?

i don't think so.

to answer your question: i still love cats. it's just not the place to be for them, and culling would only make sense if the uneducated stupid masses would refrain from having undesexed cats roaming free.

i am well aware that soppy unrational and unlogical emotions will always outweigh rational decisions. yeah, oohhh that cat is sooo cut! never mind it's part of the destruction of native animals....

RSPCA - it is an offence to poison an animal with the intent to kill or injure, with maximum penalties of a $10,000 fine and one year's jail.

I have never had a pet cat or dog as an adult. I don't like the idea of animals being kept inside. Nor bigger dogs being kept in smallish yards.

It is very annoying having cats digging/pooping in your garden.

"imagine if the world population was 1 million. do you think we would have global warming?"

Why? The pop. of the world is 7 billion. Reality, not what if's.

i once looked and if i wanted to rent a cage from the council to catch stray cats it costs $160 (if i remember right), so it's not for free otherwise i would have done it.

i can't kill  a cat but i hate that hugeneighbour tomcat that killed a dove while i was watching (not fast enough to prevent it).

I have a neighbour that trespasses and puts cat poo on our cars, but how can I trespass on his property and shave his **bleep**ing heater up his **bleep**?
