Hmm... I thought I loved rice pudding when I was a child.......................... and rice cream in a can.

So, I bought some in a can and it made me feel like my stomach was trying to roll over!

I do like the baked rice pudding.

Honestly, why is everyone still talking about 'orrible rice pudding??!!

It's about as delightful as the concoction that my poor old 'skip' mum

used to make - cook spaghetti in milk, sprinkle liberally with sugar - blerk

Maybe that makes you younger than me, Stawka ... but, trust me ... a tomato sandwich is better than powdered custard no matter how wet and warm 🙂

We also used to have to drink milk at school. Now, in the UK, it doesn't get hot a lot ... but on some days, after the milk was delivered in the morning and sat outside until morning break, it was often close to solid.

LOL, Stawka.

It was the skin that really got to me ... this thick skin that formed over the top of the custard. Gross. Then the texture and taste.

Funny enough, store bought refrigerated custard is now pretty good.
