The media were duly recruited and the major mainstream TV outlets supplied with footage of the commando-style operations, filmed and supplied by the police themselves. The police also helpfully supplied still shots of the action to the newspapers.

I saw yesterday on TV people stopped on the street asked to comment on the raids; 2 old women said : "Good, we feel much safer now". I would have asked them WHY? Why would you feel safer now? Because on person who was groomed to commit some undisclosed act, and another one for nothing too specific?

By the way, the people in Lakemba protested against the heavy handed tactics during the raids, trashing of houses, punching holes in the wall, injuring women and terrifying children. Maybe they do not realise that is just the way police operate; nothing to do with them being Muslims.

The Muslims are not peaceful. They want their religion to be the only one. My close friend who is high ranking army security official has said in the past that they don't want assimilate, they want to take over - and they don't apologise for that. While the majority don't condone the extremists, they do condone the intent behind it. There is no such thing as your "friendly Muslim neighbour across the street". They want to take over - it's a slow genocide that has been happening for decades. Shut me down - I don't care, take your blinkers off!

They arnt randomly picking Muslim houses to raid.

I find that so called cartoon incredibly offensive. Innocent men caught up in the conflict overseas have died, been beheaded, and you see fit to post a cartoon mocking their deaths, even indirectly.

Would you assimilate if you went to live in India, Thailand, Belgian Congo, Turkey etc.?
