almost covered here. I can't hold my camera still enough to get a good shot. It's a lovely clear night though.

It's been too cloudy in Port Arlington to see it, I can see clear skies somewhere across the water but not here.

Pimpy, sit down on the ground and lean your elbows on your knees.

That should keep the camera a bit steadier

aarrgghh smiley.gif   Complete bust here.  Too much cloud cover

and now it's starting to rain!!!!!!!

Beautiful clear sky here, hubs has been outside taking pic for 1.5 hours, hope he has some good shots

I tried that, but still didn't work. The shutter speed is very slow.

I wish it would rain here.

I bought a cheap light weight tripod recommended by another ebay poster. Gorrilla pod.

But I'd be interested in some details on your telescope camera. I met a guy who knows a guy with a camera, auto tracking telescope with a camera. He was able to take a great picture of another galaxy (Andromeda?)

I guess when I have time I'll look up some prices.

Or use a tripod, much easier

Jimmy, it's just a Canon DSLR.   You can get a thing called a T ring attachment

that you can hook up the camera to the telescope eye piece.

I've just been out to have a look (7.30 here) but it's so overcast I can't see a single star - let  alone the moon.Smiley Sad
