One of the things I like about Melbourne Cup Day is the stories behind the people and horses.

When I read my first Dick Francis novel, I didn't think I'd like it because I knew nothing about horses or horse racing ... I wouldn't say that I'm a big fan now, but I do enjoy watching the Cup.

So i went fishing instead---have you a mincer to put 5 small flat head through and make patties.
